When the owner of this condo in Tequesta contacted Window & Door Replacement Company, he wanted to change the three sets of windows in his unit that opened to the beautiful view of the Loxahatchee River. With such large openings, it was important to find impact windows that could be made to fit these spans without rails and frames interrupting the glass. The solution was the ES-8000 Jumbo Window Wall from ESWindows.

While views were the most important aspect of this project, exterior aesthetics were also considered by both the homeowner and the remodel consultant. First, bronze frames were used to maintain consistency with other units in the building and complex. Second, impact windows permitted the removal of unsightly accordion shutters that had been permanently affixed to the walls around the original windows. Not only does this improve the overall look of the exterior façade, but hurricane windows also eliminate the need to take on the difficult task of deploying accordion shutters on the second floor.

The ES-8000 Jumbo Window Wall was ideal for this project. This product can be manufactured in sizes up to 105 continuous square feet. Even with this impressive size, the ES-8000 still has a narrow enough frame to easily replace a non-impact window without additional structural work. The aluminum frames are available in bronze Duranar, a strong paint finish that can withstand the unique environment the riverfront has to offer. The results of this project demonstrate how hurricane impact windows go beyond protecting your home.  Replacement windows can provide an elevated look for your space and dramatically improve your exterior views.
